The Speakers Guild will include people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) and our own APSC board members with particular expertise, including family members of PLWHA and medical doctors knowledgeable about HIV/AIDS.  In light of COVID-19, APSC is exploring both offering in-person speakers plus using a video format that could be accessed through this website for all interested audiences.

Suggested audiences for our APSC Speakers Guild include –

  • Students in high school, community college, or university classes
  • Medical providers in-service training opportunity
  • Substance Use Disorder treatment centers both for staff as part of an in-service training opportunity and clients in treatment on an educational basis
  • Agencies providing mental health or behavioral health services both for staff as part of an in-service training opportunity and clients in treatment on an educational basis
  • Housing programs or shelters both for staff as part of an in-service training opportunity and clients in treatment on an educational basis
  • Businesses that encourage their employees to give back to their community, as an opportunity to increase empathy for a possible overlooked segment of community

Stay tuned for the launching of Speakers Guild …
